As Vice President in the Public Health Line of Business, directed contracts to provide data management, programmatic, management and administrative support to the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that oversaw more than 50 data managers, statistical, programmatic and management professionals. Served as primary point of contact for the client, reported on accomplishments, challenges and solutions, approved invoices and managed finances.

Directed all federally funded national training and capacity building activities totaling $4 million per year, to build the organizational and programmatic capacity of minority nonprofits in all parts of the United States. Provided individualized consultations, trainings at the State and regional level, publications, Web-based and internet resources, and direct consultations. Coordinated the development and implementation of national disease prevention and health promotion policy for various agencies of the U.S. Public Health Service, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention and service delivery.

Participated in the creation and development of the first national coalition devoted exclusively to issues of HIV/AIDS in the Hispanic/Latino community. Member of a team that wrote and edited the National Hispanic/Latino AIDS Agenda. Coordinated media relations and a press conference in which several members of Congress endorsed the agenda.

Provided consulting services in the areas of taxation, accounting and business management to corporate, individual and partnership clients in the Boston and Washington, DC areas. Led a team of consultants traveling to Saudi Arabia for individual business consultations with American expatriates.

Provided internal consultations on corporate tax matters, including a federal audit and development of federal compliance items. Represented the company with the IRS on research and development issues, saving the company millions of dollars in tax savings.
