Led communications for one of the most successful retail mergers in UK history, worth £5.5bn. Senior Counsel to the PLC Board, management team and wider business through a significant change programme.

Rapidly devised and implemented a creative and proactive merger communications plan, setting out a clear rationale and benefits of the deal for all stakeholders, from launch right through completing integration.

Focused on ‘helping Londoners to feel safer,’ I provided strategic counsel to the country’s most senior police officers across high profile detective led investigations, large scale public order events and specialist operations involving armed response units, the mounted division, police dogs, boats and helicopters.

Led communications for stories of national and international media interest including; the reinvestigation into the murder of Rachel Nickell, the fraud investigation into MPs’ expenses, the Pakistani cricket betting scandal, the Antiguan murder of two British honeymooners, a live bomb threat and large public order events such as the Notting Hill Carnival and Climate Camp.
