In my role I was the lead executive responsible for my practice’s success, including:
• Practice planning, revenue and growth goals;
• Team culture;
• People recruitment, development and utilization;
• Client service and satisfaction (four service areas: change management; mergers & acquisitions; crisis management; and strategic positioning);
• Business development
• Industry forecasting to evolve client services

At the National Association of Children’s Hospitals, my main responsibilities focused on:
• Working hand-in-hand with children’s hospital executives and their boards to build the legislative advocacy capacity for their individual institution;
• Managing federal issue campaigns for the association; and
• Mobilizing member hospitals on the association’s federal advocacy agenda.

At Navigant, I worked to ensure that health care and tax clients achieved their legislative advocacy goals on the federal level. I successfully lobbied for appropriations, earmarks and authorizations for clients for FY2003 and FY2004.

My work for Sen. Mike DeWine (now Governor of Ohio) spanned from serving as the assistant political director for his 2000 successful re-election campaign in Ohio – which we won by a historic margin – to handling healthcare and children’s issues in his Washington, D.C. office.
