The insurance audit department is involved in auditing insurance companies to ensure that their financial statements are true and fair. This involves controls testing of business processes which ranges from stock taking to the allocation of bonuses. Also responsible for substantively testing key accounts such as debtors and cash. Obtaining appropriate evidence from the client’s finance department is also a requirement.
