Carsten was the first management consultant that was hired for the Partners in Performance European practice. He supported in the business development and the project execution to establish the European presence. He led a number of projects in capital optimization, digitization and organizational effectiveness with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and co-creations. The industry he focused on was industrials, private equity and SMEs.

Carsten worked across Europe and Africa where he led and supported teams in operations transformation. He focused on cost reduction and productivity improvements for large industrial sites. He embedded tools and management operating systems to effectively run continuous improvement programs within the organizations. The focus on people and culture ensured the sustainability of the projects.

Carsten gained significant oil and gas experience when he worked at Sasol Secunda on the refinery units. He was lead process engineer for the hydrogen circuit, diesel units, aviation fuels and fuel oil systems. He led the project pipeline, operation optimisation and risk management of those units.
