Selected to lead the technology direction for a new business within Fidelity focused on helping customers confidently make decisions that result in better health and financial outcomes. Responsibilities include the strategic vision, direction, design, and delivery for the technology required to build a market-leading digital healthcare benefits business.

Took on a newly-created role tasked with defining the cloud strategy and roadmap for Fidelity’s workplace businesses. Initiated a broad-based assessment of the current technology portfolio to develop a public cloud adoption plan and approach for the 600+ platforms that currently run the business.

Chosen by senior management to initiate and lead the engineering effort required to expand Fidelity’s equity compensation capabilities globally. Led the technology strategy and planning work that culminated in the approval of a $55M program.

As part of the transition to execution, built a new global development team skilled in leading-edge open source technology. The team represents the business unit’s 1st foray into scaled agile (SAFe, SCRUM) and a full stack engineering model.

Took on the emerging data and analytics capabilities for Fidelity’s workplace product lines. Big data and analytics technology has quickly become a strategic enabler in driving better customer outcomes and market differentiation through innovative experiences such as online personalization and client dashboards.

Led a development organization accountable for serving transactions and data to all customer channels across the Workplace Investing online recordkeeping platform. The 75 member team, spanning two domestic sites along with India and China, supports a platform that services 1 billion discrete requests and moves approximately $300B in assets annually. Responsible for a diverse development portfolio with an annual budget in excess of $10M per year.

At the request of the business unit CIO, led a team to define, plan, and implement the strategy for transforming the operating model for Fidelity's defined contribution retirement business. Major themes of the effort include platform modernization, straight-through processing, and product and technology standardization. Accountable for delivery against a portfolio of 24 initiatives with a total 2008 budget of $18M.
