Oversaw a crew of 40 hourly union employees and 6 salary supervisors for Reforming and Aromatics Recovery operating units, ensuring safe and environmentally compliant operation.
Engineered a process for aligning the project team with the current unit operating team, encompassing construction support, procedural updates, and operations personnel training.

Responsible for support the operations for crude, sulfur, reforming units. Lead/Supported process engineering function for 5 Turnarounds (Major maintenance outages). Support Process Safety, Procedure and Operational Excellence Reviews. Collaborated across the organization to address process issues on the Light Sweet Crude Distillation Unit related to new shale oil crudes and their associated corrosion and fouling mechanisms.
Delivered approximately $20MM in lost opportunity savings by developing a predictive model to monitor the fouling rate on crude charge furnaces, preventing an operating unit out-of-cycle shutdown.

Led a team to implement a new Human Machine Interface strategy, incorporating groundbreaking abnormal situation technology with associated operator performance metrics.
Served as a refinery SME to implement several industry-leading tools for improved operator performance.
Provided process control engineering support for 10 of the refinery’s 14 process units.
