Assumed the senior leadership role for Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate M&A/Business Development, Finance/Accounting and Information Technology. Joined company immediately following its reverse merger into a small-cap public biotech company traded on Nasdaq. Opened and ran the New York office. Set up a USD40m ATM (At-The-Market) program and raised approximately USD10m within the first 4 months.

Assumed senior leadership role for Corporate M&A and FinanceAccounting. Sourced several transactions, including the acquisition of Treximet from GSK for USD252m. Raised USD465m in under 18 months.

Led the firm's move into Healthcare Investment Banking, with a specific focus on ATM (At The Market) programs and M&A. Sourced and closed over 15 deals in 3 years as a coverage officer, raising more than USD500m for clients.

Negotiated a multi-billion dollar, multi-year supply chain agreement with manufacturers of LLINs (mosquito nets), ACTs (artemisinin-based combination therapies) and HIV drugs on behalf of the Geneva-based Global Fund. Successful in reducing prices by over 20% and in generating more than USD300m in cost savings in year one.

Met regularly with healthcare companies leading to two M&A mandates and two financing transactions. Presented M&A and financing alternatives to generic/specialty pharmaceutical companies (e.g. Allergan, Alpharma, Cephalon, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Roche, Shire) and life science tools companies (e.g. Affymetrix, Applied Biosystems, Cepheid, Illumina, Luminex, Nanogen, Sequenom). Executed transactions for diaDexus (USD50m sellside M&A) and Nanogen (USD160m reverse merger).

Executed more than 15 transactions (IPO, Follow-on, Private Placements, M&A, Convertible Debt and High Yield) as part of an industry-leading healthcare investment banking effort. Helped generate significant revenue for the investment banking team by leveraging deep expertise in genomics and molecular biology to position and market multiple life science tools deals.
