We have been brought in by a professional services firm that is national and they have doubled in size. They now have offices around the US and as part of this growth they have done a great job integrating revenue components, but they have not looked for opportunities to gain synergies from their new size and reduce costs as part of the scale-up. We are looking for a consultant to be part of the team.
We are going to go through a Data Analysis. This is where we will have access to companies' financial statements and accounting level details. We will be looking at their procurement purchasing record and company spends. Additionally, we are going to look at all policy documents and role descriptions and role narratives more focused on administrative personal more specifically
The journey is to define and implement ways of reducing general and administrative costs across the client’s business. The initial engagement is a 4-week assessment.
This assessment will require the consultant to have analytical skills to review financial information and make recommendations on where and how to reduce costs. The client is an accounting and financial advisory business so our resources must be fluent in those languages.
Qualifications:
1.experience in delivering assessments, including creating findings, recommendations, and a roadmap to implement the recommendations. Someone who is able to sit in the meeting with the COO, regional manager directors and interview them. Once they gather their findings they will need to present to stakeholders. This would be someone that has a true consulting background.
2.experience with financial modeling and financial analysis; finance or accounting experience is a plus. Someone who can look at financial statements, interpreting them, and convert all those numbers to paper into ideas.
This will involve a lot of comparative analysis. From a tactical standpoint, this will all be done in excel but we are open to other suggestions. Any analysis that we are doing in financial statements needs to be really good since our client and their team is full of Accountants.
