Market Mapping and labor study for industrial distribution centers

A large US real estate services firm is looking for consulting support for developing market studies focusing on labor markets for industrial distribution centers. The scenario is that they have several clients looking to staff up and open distribution centers in various cities in the US, and our client (the rest estate firm) needs to provide consulting support around that decision.

The ideal consultant would have:
- Labor consulting background with a focus on industrials
- Familiarity with distribution centers and specifically the labor markets in various US cities
- An ability to create comparative market studies using various pieces of data, including regional labor market dynamics, competitive analysis for talent within cities, local estate costs, union dynamics, etc.
- Comfort interfacing directly with clients and an ability to synthesize data to make recommendations on the most attractive markets
- Nice to haves: site selection experience, past experience running a distribution center or similar facility, familiarity with new automation technologies

The consultant will be supported by several analysts from the client's internal team.

In the right scenario, consultants could be offered full-time roles if interested. All work will be delivered remotely.
